Preventing Premies
Preventing premies is a class offered to all High Risk mothers and to mothers who have a history of preterm labor/birth. This is the single most important risk factor for subsequent preterm labor/birth. A high risk evaluation is completed with the mother and a positive pregnancy action plan is begun. She will learn what factors may lead to preterm labor and how to avoid problems where possible.
The cause of preterm labor is often seen as a combination of factors influencing pregnancy outcome. Decreasing the risks by mitigating the factors which cannot be eliminated
And eliminating where possible factors which can cause preterm labor is the goal of the class. The cost of these classes is $50/class.

The Hearty Family
This class includes two hours of infant care and two hours of breastfeeding classes. Theory concerning Infant care and Breastfeeding are provided with hands on practice with infant modes (Doll’s) for bathing and diapering. This class helps the couple transition into the parenting role with ease. The support group of the class helps with postpartum issues also. The cost of these classes is $50/class.
